At Pine Hill Collections we have been so busy working on something we are really excited about!    It is good to be busy, but sometimes you just can’t catch up…you know how that is.   It’s been hard keeping in contact with all our wonderful customers now that we are working on this new project.

After changing our shop look over 3 years ago, we thought it was time for fresh update face to the website.   So….we have a NEW website in the works and it should be up and running for business very soon.   Our new site is so gorgeous….we can’t wait to show it to you.   We are bringing  new colors in to the mix…warm, rich and inviting.   The shop will have a larger, easier navigation layout.    You will be able to find products quick and easy.   There is also a ONE page checkout!   Why everyone can’t think of that!     There are so many new features, that I can’t even name them all.

I wish I could give you a sneak peek, but then, it wouldn’t be a surprise when we finally unveil it.   All I can do is tell you that is looks amazing!     So, that being said, it is still a waiting game.   But soon, very soon, it will be ready to bring to the world wide web.

In the meantime, you can continue to shop at www.pinehillcollections.com at our current site.    I will keep you updated on the new website progress, but until then….

When your party or event calls for something out of the ordinary, set your tables with these gorgeous bubble glass vintage-look tumblers and goblets.   You won’t even need an excuse to have a party with these.   They are just as cool for every day dining.   They are over sized, but not so much that they are obnoxious.   They are heavy weight, but not overly so,  just nice and sturdy.    The thicker weight is wonderful for holding up to multiple use.

And the colors…wow!   The clear bubble glass beverageware will go with any color scheme, like soft pastels or white and gold.  The clear tumblers make a nice clean look for any palette.    The aqua stemware is simply stunning.  Perfect for a beach theme table settings or pair up with the Serenity table placemats and linens.

The rich tone of the Amber stemware brings an earthy warmness to the table.   They blend nicely with the Nature Walk kitchen linens as well as many other Park Designs kitchen linens.

So, bring some life to your table with functional and beautiful vintage bubble glass stemware from Park Designs….found at www.pinehillcollections.com.    All the bubble glass stemware is dishwasher safe!

I absolutely love Lodge and Cabin home decor.  There is a richness about the colors and so many motifs to choose from.  My own home isn’t even decorated this way, but there is something warm and cozy about cabin decor that I love.  The deep colors of pine green, browns and tan just do something for the soul.   Whether it’s curtains, table linens or home decor items, Lodge decor is popular and here to stay.

Country kitchen linens with a moose or pine trees really add an interesting touch to a kitchen or dining room.   I love switching out something simple like a table runner to change the whole look and feel of a room.  You can change the color or texture of a table setting by the seasons with so many affordable choices available.   The Park Designs line carries so many lovely cabin decor prints.   Hunter greens with embroidered moose are featured on the Northern Exposure pattern.   If you love plaids, the Wood River pattern is all country!  The Pinecone pattern is a favorite of mine with the soft jacquard weave in navy, pine green, tan and burgundy.   Pine Ridge jacquard is a rich blend of brown, pine green and tan for a dramatic table setting.   River Falls is a country plaid of cranberry red, tan, pine green and brown in a thick heavy chindi weave.   Make your table the hit of your next party or event or simply decorate your home with these gorgeous patterns.

Check out these wonderful patterns and then head to our web store to get yours!    www.pinehillcollections.com

Measuring for curtains giving you headaches?

Have you ever tried to measure for new curtains and really didn’t know where to begin?   Maybe you aren’t quite sure where you would like your curtains to hang…the inside or outside of the window frame.  Or how long to hang them.

I found this fantastic video that explains how to measure for various scenarios plus gives great explanations of how a  valance, tier or panel should hang.   Of course, you have all the control as to where you want to hang your curtains and there really aren’t any hard and fast rules anymore.    In Europe, curtains can typically hang 6 inches above the window sill leaving a gap below the curtain.  If you have a smaller window, hanging a tier curtain is perfect if you want to cover the entire window like a sheer drape effect.

This short 4 minute video will give you loads of info that will hopefully help you out when measuring for new curtains!

Visit our shop today at www.pinehillcollections.com.  We are an online country home decor store, and have now expanded our country style curtain line to offer customers a more diverse selection for window decorating.  With a more extensive curtain selection, customers have more choices of curtain themes, fabrics and styles than ever before.

Country kitchen curtains from Park Designs in plaids, stripes and checks are now available in a variety of styles to fit any window.  Valances, swags, tiers and curtain panels continue to be popular choices for bedroom, bathroom or sunroom windows.   Specialty style curtains such as french door or patio door curtain panels provide more options for those hard to fit windows.  Single round valances provide options for smaller windows or can be adapted for larger windows.    The fishtail curtain swag line has grown to be a big part of the country curtain choices at Pine Hill.   Gathered swags are a new addition for a distinctive look in primitive décor settings with checks and stripes being predominant.  Layered and lined valances are a popular choice for many homes, offering a simple option with a professional decorator look.

Bella Persimmon Placemats

Part of the line expansion also includes country lace curtains from the Heritage Lace Company to offer more options in lace window treatments.   Lace curtain styles include valances, swags, lace panels and tiers in a wide variety of patterns.   Lace curtains have been expanded to include themed curtains such as lighthouse, beach, lodge and traditional home styles.

Additional expansions in the coordinating kitchen table linens and runners in both lace and fabric patterns have been added to make a complete home decorating setting.   Kitchen placemats, napkins and table runners along with tablecloths and kitchen towels are a major portion of this expansion.   More curtain themes such as apples, roosters, Americana and lodge style can now be found at the Pine Hill Collections country store.

The expanded country style curtain selection at Pine Hill Collections offer customers many window decorating options at very affordable pricing.  Country home decorating continues to be a popular choice for adding warmth and beauty to any home.

To me, quilts just depict an air of country.   Country quilts can warm a room with their rich colors, intricate patterns and beautiful quilted threads.   The country and primitive quilt styles and colors are some of my favorites.    There is just something about throwing a quilt on a bed, couch or a table that has an instant warming effect in a room.

Quilted bedding comes in so many different choices these days.   There are quilts for primitive decors as well as traditional quilted looks.    Country quilts in earthy dark colors fit well in a lodge or cabin decor, yet I love quilts with a cottage decor flair…in blues, whites or yellows.     The new Serenity quilted collection from Victorian Heart is simply gorgeous in shades of soft denim blue and creamy white.   A perfect selection for summer in its 100% cotton fabrics.

Quilted throws are fun and so versatile.    A small quilted throw can be displayed as wall-hangings over a fireplace mantle or up on a large cathedral ceiling wall.   It doesn’t take a huge wall, just a nice open space where you can show it off.    Throws also make great tablecloths.  Throw them over a kitchen table, outdoor picnic table or patio table on the deck.   Hey, they are even great to take on a picnic.  What is better than packing up a quilted throw, a wicker basket of fresh food and heading to a shady field for a bit of nature enrichment.

Victorian Heart quilts have some of my favorite patchwork quilts.  They have really outdone themselves this spring with their fresh bedding designs.   This primitive style Americana Quilt in its muted tan, navy and burgundy hues is sure to spark up your American style decor.    Called Patriotic Patch, this design comes in a throw and quilted bedding in king, queen and twin sizes.
